Fashion 4 A Cause Campaign

A week ago I was getting ready to walk down the runway with 20 other South Florida bloggers. As I sit here and reflect on this past week, I can help but be thankful for the opportunity. Not only did I feel extremely special (getting my hair & Make up done) but I also met so many beautiful & friendly fashion bloggers. We all united for one great cause, and I only hope we were able to raise a lot of money for such a great cause.
You can check out my first post about the campaign here (+video)

Shout out to my mom who drove with me the night before to pick out my outfit. Since we were allowed to try on and wear anything in the entire store (right? a girl's dream), it took me a while to choose my final outfit.
I went with this outfit because it stayed true to my style and it was something people could find at any store to wear with the shirt (which was the item we were really highlighting and "selling.")
Although my outfit was a grand total of $486 (not counting the shirt or my shoes). I believe you can truly put together a similar look at a more affordable price.

Self-Portraits 1

Lately I've been wanting to challenge myself photography wise. I've been reading up a lot, doing research, and looking at amazing photographers. I've been inspired by so many awesome photographers. Last night I decided to try my first "out of the house" self portrait. So I woke up at 7:30 in the morning, got dressed, and headed out to the unknown (haha). Besides the awkwardness of cars possibly seeing you and the silence of being alone...the adventure was fun! Very challenging but rewarding as well.
Here are a few of my favorite photographers who have mastered the art of self portraits: Ashley Jensen&Vivian Maier

DIY: Sparkly Fall Pumpkin

I've been feeling very crafty lately. If you know me, you know I could spend days...not hours...days stuck inside Joann's Fabrics. Since it's fall, and I'm not into decorating for Halloween, I decided to make something that was fall inspired, subtle, and cute. I went to Joann's fabric, got this cardboard pumping. It was 70% off! So it only cost me $3.99! Score. THen I headed to the spray paint section, and went with a gold glittery spray paint. I was able to use my 50% off coupon because it was regular price. I highly encourage you to download the Joann's Fabric App...they always have coupons!

This is possibly the easiest DIY I've ever done! It can be done in three easy steps.

1. Buy your materials (pumpkin & spray paint)
2. Spray paint in an open area & evenly across and around the whole pumpkin
3. Let it dry for about 20min and it's ready :)

Make sure you place the pumpkin on a plastic bag or cardboard so you don't turn the ground or the grass into a glittery wonderland.

I know this DIY wasn't very instructional, since it was so easy! But I hope it inspired you to get creative and use your imagination.
Happy Crafting!
