DIY: Heart Tank

So excited I get to share with you one of my favorite DIY's!!

If your not sure what to wear or are a bit tight on budget...

in just one night you can make yourself a heart tank out of any plain tank top ! 

Not only is it fun to do, it also looks adorable!

Our First Christmas Tree

What a fun time!

Andy and I are getting close to celebrating our one year anniversary already!

We just bought and decorated our first christmas tree.

I really wanted a real christmas tree for our first "home" but since we are leaving on vacation next weekend, and we will be gone for 10 days, it felt like it would be sitting there and die by the time we got back home.

So, as we were shopping on black friday, I saw a fake Christmas tree at a "Dollar Spot" at the mall. It was only $15.99 and it was 6ft tall!

Right there and then I decided that this would be best for us this year! And it was cheaper than a real tree.

I bought some ornaments there too! 9 ornaments for $1. What a deal! ;)

Then, we went to target and bought the start topper for $5! and a few other ornaments at $3 each.

We put christmas music on and decorated our first tree.

Very fun experience to share with Andy.

DIY: Sparkly Fall Pumpkin

I've been feeling very crafty lately. If you know me, you know I could spend days...not hours...days stuck inside Joann's Fabrics. Since it's fall, and I'm not into decorating for Halloween, I decided to make something that was fall inspired, subtle, and cute. I went to Joann's fabric, got this cardboard pumping. It was 70% off! So it only cost me $3.99! Score. THen I headed to the spray paint section, and went with a gold glittery spray paint. I was able to use my 50% off coupon because it was regular price. I highly encourage you to download the Joann's Fabric App...they always have coupons!

This is possibly the easiest DIY I've ever done! It can be done in three easy steps.

1. Buy your materials (pumpkin & spray paint)

2. Spray paint in an open area & evenly across and around the whole pumpkin 

3. Let it dry for about 20min and it's ready :)

Make sure you place the pumpkin on a plastic bag or cardboard so you don't turn the ground or the grass into a glittery wonderland.

I know this DIY wasn't very instructional, since it was so easy! But I hope it inspired you to get creative and use your imagination.

DIY: April's Baby Shower

A few weeks ago I helped planned April's baby shower (Andy's sister). Linda, did such an amazing job organizing, planning, and decorating for the party. Here are a few of the pictures I captured that day!

I was in charge of games. We played "name that Stache" and "Name the Baby" (since April & Joel wanted to keep the baby's name a secret). I also planned a Onesie Decorating Station. We got the onesies at Target and everything else at Joann's Fabric Store.

I decided to have materials for three "craft levels".

1. Easy: Stamps! Grab some stamps and Fabric Ink Dye and TA DA

2. Medium: Stencils! Joann's had two packets of small stencils in the sewing area. One were animals, robots, cars, flowers and the other packet were letter stencils. I got both. + all kinds of different Fabrics. So that people would trace the stencil, and then use fabric glue to attach it to the onesie.

3. Hard: Free Style! Create your own design

Make sure to always have a piece of cardboard in between the onesie.
