Fourth of July 2014 Outfit

Last fourth of July, we spent the fireworks hiding out under bleachers from a terrible storm. Instead of seeing and hearing fireworks, we heard thunder, and shivered at the sight of lightning.
This year, we decided to change the location, and rent a one night stay in a hotel in South Beach.
Very random, very spontaneous, definitely not something we are used to doing.
My outfit for this fourth of July is very simple.
This was last year's outfit:

When I saw this skirt and top on sale at aeropostale I knew it would be the best outfit for the holiday.
I topped it off with a red tie to complete the outfit.

Skirt: $7.99 Crop Top: $7.99 Hair Tie $5

My kind of outfit.

Earth Day 2014 + Free People + SimplyLively Part I

When Free People posted on their blog & Instagram that they needed pictures for an Earth Day post, I quickly jumped at the opportunity. I knew I wanted to be dreamy & creative. My wonderful hubby, captured these great images by the ocean. I couldn't be happier with the way they turned out.
I did a little photoshop to add some graphics on top.
Come back tomorrow on Earth Day to see the second location, as well as my final photo for the Free People contest.

The Best of SimplyLively 2013

It's finally the last day of 2013! I am beyond excited with all the adventures God blessed me with this year. Although I began this blog about 2 years ago, this is the first year I really put a lot of time, effort, and love into it.
I don't think I am exactly where I want to be, but i am sure proud of everything i've done this past year. I have truly gotten better with photography, outfits, and meeting new people.
I really stepped out of my comfort zone this year, and because I did so...i was able to experience things I otherwise would have missed out on.
I can't wait till this upcoming year.
I hope & pray that in 2014, I can continue getting better in photography and hopefully take my blogging into the next level. I really want to do more outfit & DIY posts.
My general goals are to someday have a photograph in a photography magazine/blog and have an outfit pic featured in a published magazine. Who knows! Maybe this new year!
What are your goals?
Here are my top pictures from 2013.
Enjoy

Mixing Prints-Outfit Post

This weekend, I had a sudden urge to mix prints.
From my Self-Portrait Project IV to my black friday shopping outfit.
There is something about mixing the correct prints that makes the outfit pop.
Some prints just don't go together.
But if you take time to mix some, try some on, and wear it with confidence
you can pull it off.

Here are some of my favorite mixed print outfits.

1. 2. 3.

Here's my black friday print mix
Stripes + hearts
I know it's not super crazy, but maybe one day I can pull off something like the pictures above.

Outfit Post: ModCloth

I love ModCloth! Since I'm a blogger on a budget, I took advantage of their 70% off sale and got 4 things for $50!! Among those items was this dress I had been "eye-ing" for a while!

Besides the great quality, I love the bright mustard color!

The shoes are from Marshall's on sale for $20
and if you're wondering where the suitcases are from...found them at TJMaxx! I use them as decor around the house, but also use them to take some things from my house to my in-laws. Love them!

Photo Adventure: Disney World

A couple of weekends ago we decided to drive up to Orlando and visit Disney. Andy hadn't been to Magic Kingdom since he was a baby...so i was really excited about showing him all the "magic" Disney has to offer. We celebrated my little cousin Kiana's birthday, which landed exactly on the day we went. What a magical birthday. This trip was the beginning to my #31daysofcelebration (meaning 31 days till my actual birthday) We had a blast! Here's some of the pictures we captured!

One of my favorite parts about Magic Kingdom is the man selling a multitude of balloons. Idk why! It just always captured my eyes. (you will see them again later on)

Polka Dotted Overall :Find here Forever21
Snow White Crop Top: Macy's

My favorite shirt! I found it at JcPenny
Mickey Shirt: Find here

This Lemonade Ice Cream made Andy feel really sick afterwards!

The next day we ended up at Downtown Disney for breakfast and shopping!

My favorite Princess is SnowWhite <3
